I have a directory protected with a password. There you obviously find the .htaccess file. I have a different directory (not sub-) that has an index.php file that I would like to put if-statements in that can tell if the other directory has been logged in to this session. I have read about PHP sessions but it seems like that is only if in the same directory. I can not find any materials that demonstrates if I can read the .htaccess from another directory to validate if-statements. Is either possible? -- or shd I just create a cookie? I will hang up and listen. Thx!
