So what do these cars actually look like? The unveiling portion of the SF Motors event provided a glimpse into the tech specs of these awesome machines — as well as a peek at the vehicles themselves. Below are a few of the specifications:
• The SF5 is the company’s first mid-sized premium crossover, and the SF7 will be its first full-sized performance crossover.
• A customizable motor system enables vehicle design with one, two, three, or four motor configurations. The most powerful of these configurations allows for vehicle acceleration power of 0-60 mph in less than three seconds.
• SF Motors’ proprietary battery cells is among the leaders when it comes to energy density and lifecycle. These patented systems enable a driving range of more than 300 miles.
SF Motors also touted its “Protective Autonomy” technology that will rely upon LiDAR systems to optimize driving in challenging weather or on rough road conditions. Of course, sustainability is also a huge consideration. Here, too, SF Motors is taking an innovative approach: The vehicles’ battery packs are designed to lead dual-lives — consumers can use them as portable power sources for the home and office.
